More news

If every house in America traded just one light bulb for 1 fluorescent compact one, we'd take 1 million cars off the road. That's easy, right? You even would save money while doing that. If only 50% of the polar ice would melt, countless streams would overflow and then dry up, because of the heat we've caused. Millions would die of starvation, if not also because of many more used-to-be natural disasters-now caused by our cars, our laziness. Why did Katrina and other hurricanes come so forcefully? Global Warming. Why are more and more tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and wildfires happening? Global Warming. We've been so lazy that now we can't reverse what we've done. we can only ease the pain-if anyone cares, that is. Plants and animals are becoming extinct RIGHT NOW because we're chopping down trees- while simultaneously belching out more bad stuff. Would it help if I made a newspaper about all this and passed it around my neighborhood? Maybe. But it would only help more if it were made on recycled paper. And you can't even find that in Office Depot, last time I checked.

Let's change. Our lives-and future lives are in danger because of us.

Earth Day

Ok, I know it hasn't been Earth Day for a while, but i need to write about something.

Ok, on the Sunday before Earth Day, I was in San Diego. Over there, ther's a big Fair, earth Day Fair. It wasn't much on Earth and recycling. It was more about all of those groups, like Prevent Animal Abuse and such. Many times I saw all of these hippies (one old man wearing black flare pants, and a tunic-like shirt that was cut down a litte and also a gropu of girls wearing long, colorful skirts, tunics, and with long hair and a band around their head. Crazy!). All around were these signs like "Peace on Earth" and "Do you know how many children were killed before birth?" and only one sign that said "Do you want your children to breathe healthy air?". That was the only one mentioning anything about how we treat our Earth.
My friend also went on a Earth Day Fair. Not the same one though. She said that it had so much more litter and so much more dirty by the time the Fair was over. The people who worked nearby were working way overtime cleaning it up.
Crazy!
Let's take care of our earth1 It's the only one we have!
